The Spangen Helm was a popular European war helmet design of the early middle ages, the name Spangen refers to the metal strips that form the framework. The origins of this type of helmet probably come from ancient Persia. The design appeared in Europe around the 3rd Century, by the 6th Century it was the most common design in Europe.
This tough, lightweight, polyurethane helmet is a is ideal for live role playing and re-inacting yet is totally realistic having been moulded from metal original.
